Welcome to one of London’s best kept secrets - the Beefeater Distillery in Kennington – where our gin is still hand-crafted to a recipe that is virtually unchanged since the 1800s.
London, one of the world’s great cities, has played a leading role in the development of London Dry Gin, one of the world’s great drinks. From the dawn of English gin distilling, the history of London and Beefeater Gin has been closely intertwined.
Housed in an Edwardian building with a 1950s extension, the Beefeater Distillery features original Victorian pot stills and a botanical room, where the fresh ingredients are stored. A custom-built visitor centre allows connoisseurs to see the original stills, view the distilling process and learn about the history of gin in London.

BEEFEATER GIN DISTILLERY TOUR
A self-guided tour takes you on a stroll through the history of gin in London. Discover how international politics, exotic imports from the British Empire, an era of Victorian entrepreneurs and some savvy American barmen made gin the world’s favourite cocktail spirit. Learn how James Burrough created the award-winning Beefeater Gin, cementing it as a true icon of London.
Access interactive exhibits and additional information via iPAD – available for complimentary hire at the ticket office.
A guide will escort you to the heart of the distillery to explain the hand-crafted production process and to help you experience a sensory understanding of the ingredients that make Beefeater Gin, Beefeater 24 and Burrough’s Reserve. The tour will culminate in a complimentary Beefeater Gin and Tonic. *
*For visitors aged 18 years and older, a complimentary soft drink will be offered to under 18′s

Calling all gin aficionados!
Celebrate the quintessential spirit of Britain and explore 195 years of gin making history through this unforgettable two and a half hour experience.
You will have an opportunity to walk through the interactive exhibition and learn the history of gin before being whisked away to the heart of the distillery. Along with this additional insight into how Beefeater is made, guests can join in with a special gin tasting and a ‘spot the juniper’ competition before toasting the occasion with a Beefeater Gin of your choice and Tonic.
Beefeater VIP experiences are hosted on Fridays, starting at 10.30am with anticipated finish at 13.00pm
