We know that not everyone wants the same thing from a pub. You might want a pint of local real ale at the bar… A bottle of wine and a grazing board… A meal in the restaurant… A really good coffee and a read of the paper… A lazy lunch in the garden... Take your pick.
If real ale is your thing, look no further. We offer our own Brewshed Pale Ale and Best Bitter plus a couple of Greene King beers.
We’re passionate about wine and have created a list which offers a selection of old favourites combined with some more unusual and quirky wines. The common theme is that we believe they are all well made wines offering good value for money. Around 20 of our wines are available by the glass.
On the food side, the emphasis is on good quality, seasonal produce and, wherever possible, we source it locally. We cook a main course meat on our open fire every week day evening and we smoke our own salmon and bake our own bread. We love Sunday lunch and offer a great roast – bring the family or meet up with friends and catch up on your week.
Wednesday evenings are our pie & pint nights and we also offer takeaway fish and chips (and other dishes from our menu) every Friday from 5 - 7pm. Phone ahead to pre-order or call in and have a pint at the bar while you wait.
We’re open from noon until late. So if you’re in need of a locally roasted coffee in the afternoon, you know where to come.
Free wi-fi is available throughout the pub.
We also have a large garden and an enclosed courtyard. It's perfect for al fresco dining - even on those typically British, not so warm days
