Kaunas City Museum is the main oldest museum in Kaunas located in Kaunas Town Hall. It represents the history of Kaunas, shows political and cultural life and tells the visitors the most important and interesting facts about the city.

The museum was re-established in 2005 as a Kaunas city municipal public institution.
The museum has five departments: Kaunas Town Hall, Kaunas Castle, M. and K. Petrauskai Lithuanian Music History Museum, Juozas Gruodis Memorial Museum, Lithuanian Folk Music History Museum.
