TheatreWorks New Milford is a 501c3 non-profit, 112 seat, award winning Live Community Theater located in the beautiful town of New Milford, CT. Housed in the 116 year old Christian Advent Church, TheatreWorks was incorporated as an independent cultural organization named Creative Arts Center of New Milford, Inc. However, over time it became better known as TheatreWorks, so in 2016 we officially changed the name to TheatreWorks New Milford, Inc.
Over the course of the past 50 years, TheatreWorks has developed a number of programs for the community. These programs includes: Senior Night-this is an evening designed for seniors to come to our dress rehearsal free of charge; Pay What You Want Night-this program is designed for individuals of low income to enjoy a night of theater at a cost that fits any budget; Page to Stage-is a free stage reading with a reception prior to the reading; and of course our outstanding children’s program which is open to ages 7 to 18 years old. We also offer discounts to students and military for ticket sales.
Besides our Main Stage Performances, Page to Stage Readings, and our Children’s Workshops/Shows, TheatreWorks does two fundraisers during the year which includes: Cocktail & Cabaret and a New Year’s Eve Gala. These fundraisers are a great way to support TheatreWorks as well as having an exceptional evening of food/drinks and entertainment. There are a number of fine restaurants, motels, and shops in the area that can make your experience even more enjoyable.
TheatreWorks New Milford Mission is:

To raise funds by public subscription, fund raising endeavors, and to acquire property, real and personal of any description, or any interest therein, by gift, devise, bequest, or purchase, and invest its funds not currently needed in its affairs; and
To encourage the younger generation in the values of the arts by establishing a children's theatre program.
