32 beds in 8 en-suite bedrooms in a comfortably furnished restored barn offering opportunity for group bookings to benefit from an affordable and modern facility that allows either self catering or advance booking catered gatherings. Sole occupancy of the whole barn lends itself to uses for family gatherings, birthday bashes, special anniversary celebrations, civil wedding proceedings (we are registered), walking, cycling and other sports groups away breaks, stag and hens pre-wedding events and a whole host of other business and group meeting needs. Our varied range of socialising rooms offers plenty of choice for smaller groups within your party to be doing different things and yet you can all eat together if and when needing to.

Howgills Barn is situated just 400 yards from Sedbergh Main Street and yet it could be a world away with it's quietness and stunning views towards the Howgill Fells behind Sedbergh. Set in 5 acres of farmland, this local family owned barn conversion has provided a happy meeting venue for many repeat visitors over the first 10 years of operation ensuring that once found, many choose to return time and time again and we have some who now come twice a year with a different group of friends on each visit.

Liz and I are extremely proud of what we have developed and look forward to being able to provide many more years of happy meetings and gatherings to all our existing customers as well as new faces yet still to experience that pleasure. We also provide additional accommodation in some apartments in Sedbergh where we have developed those along similar group lines and yet they can still offer a range of self contained accommodation therein from 1 to 40 in many different options. Comfortable mattresses, simple yet quality furnishings and clean and tidy premises are at the heart of our offering in a warm and affordable place. We are also noted for a 'light touch' experience where you will not see us unless you need to but we are always available to make your event a pleasant experience.

Our newly recruited wedding adviser can help advise and prepare a lot of the work that goes into making a wedding day so special. She is looking forward to many people taking advantage of our better value packages that promote midweek weddings and looking to assist those discerning people looking for a special day at an affordable price as they start out or consolidate their life together with our wedding packages.
