Peak Rail welcomes you in 2016 to journey back to a bygone age and experience the thrill of steam and diesel on our preserved railway, operating between Rowsley South and Matlock Platform 2 for a distance of 4 miles and open to the public throughout the year. Our northern terminus complete with steam engine/restoration shed and a 60 ft working turntable is situated within a 28 acre site and is the main base of all Peak Rail’s operating activities. The station facilities include a buffet serving mouth watering bacon butties and tempting homemade cakes, whilst the shop strives to serve both visitors and railway enthusiasts alike with a vast range of both railway orientated merchandise and souvenir gifts.
