The Old Station House Bed and Breakfast is located in the picturesque village of Rowsley on the border of the Peak District National Park within three miles of Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Bakewell, three of the area's most popular attractions.
Our beautiful historic house has just three guest bedrooms, two doubles and one twin/superking which has extra long 6' 6" beds. All the rooms are fully ensuite, have TV/DVD players and Wi-Fi, as well as views over the surrounding countryside. We also have a guest lounge where our visitors can relax in the evenings and plenty of off road parking. Our breakfast is second to none, with free range sausages and bacon from local farmer butchers, free range eggs from the farm opposite our house, homemade bread and preserves.
There is a pub and two upmarket restaurants within a five minute walk of the house and lovely footpath walks surround the house, making our family run B&B the perfect base for exploring the National Park. Why not walk to Chatsworth House along the Derwent Valley Heritage Way, climb up to the Nine Ladies Bronze Age stone circle on Stanton Moor or walk to Bakewell, all just one hour away on foot? If you do not want to walk you can still leave the car behind and take advantage of local bus services which run through the village.
We have plenty of maps and walking guides for guests to borrow, as well as guide books on local attractions. We also often have money-off vouchers for some local attractions including 30% off entry to Haddon Hall and 2-4-1 entry to Chatsworth House.
