The Steadings - combines The Barn and The Stables to give you lovely Derbyshire luxury self catering group accommodation for 15 + Z bed and 2 travel cots. The largest cottage (The Barn) has ample room for you all to dine and relax together. There is plenty of space inside and out for you to relax together, and of course you will have exclusive use of all our facilities and parking areas.
Both cottages have well-equipped fitted kitchens with all the usual fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher etc. The Barn kitchen has a large range-style electric cooker with two ovens, and plenty of seating room in its dining room for guests from both cottages. The Stables has an electric cooker and hob.
The barns are made convenient for wheelchair users, the Barn has a ground floor bedroom with wet room.
There's lots to do for children With almost 6 acres of grounds to explore including woodland, meadow, wildlife pond and garden area with picnic tables & barbecues. Well equipped games room, outdoor play area with climbing frame. Seating for all in the enclosed courtyard.
Yes - you can take us over! It’s the perfect place for family and friends to get together for a short break. Large groups are most welcome to use both The Barn and The Stables, which we’ve called the ‘Steadings’ if hired together. All in all, there’s room for 15 people, and there are 2 travel cots and highchairs, plus a z-bed for one extra small adult or child.
The Barns are utterly peaceful and well away from main roads. At almost 1000 feet above sea level you get some wonderful weather effects, and beautiful starry skies. Sitting out in the evenings over a bottle of wine on a clear night, you may even experience the Northern Lights!
Tourist Attractions: Chatsworth House is only a 20 minute drive away and offers visitors a treasure trove of modern and historic artifacts over three floors. Haddon Hall is 25 minutes away - set in the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park, parts of the house date from the 12th Century, sitting like a jewel in its Elizabethan terraced gardens, and overlooking the River Wye. The Heights of Abraham which has a Caverns and Hill top park with wonderful woodland walks and the famous Cable Car which rise from the valley floor, the observation cars transport you in comfort and safety and allow stunning views of the Derwent Valley and surrounding Peak District.
