The Five Bells is a pub and restaurant with a long history, with registered landlords back to 1579 although the pub was probably in business before then. It is sited on the edge of the picturesque Colne Valley with lovely views from the terrace.
You can expect Modern British freshly prepared food with the ingredients sourced locally, accompanied by a great selection of real ales and wines when you dine here.
The pub has a lounge bar with comfy seating, a log burner, a large screen TV plus Foosball and darts should you wish to indulge. There is a terrace area (partially covered) accessible from the Lounge Bar which provides outdoor seating in all weathers plus the great view.
The saloon bar is central to the pub with the main bar, a log fire and seating for eating. There are a number of guest ales on tap which frequently change to give plenty of variety while old favourites such as Adnams Southwold Bitter and Visor are always available.
In the adjoining barn is the main restaurant, though recently refurbished, its beamed interior gives a sense of history while being comfortable too. This area can seat parties of up to 14 at a time on one table or more if it is being used for a function.
The food at the Bells is British Modern, with a fine selection of classics such as Ham, Egg & Chips, Fish & Chips and Sausage & Mash plus some exciting variations available via the Main Menu and Specials Menu. The menus change on a regular basis and this along with the specials means you are never short of choice. We can also cater for vegetarians and vegans and many meals are already gluten-free plus others can be also if a little notice is given. We have a full list of allergens, so for anyone with allergies or intolerances we can help to guide you and put your mind at rest when you are picking something from out menu.
